  • Wonder Man was a hugely interesting character given the pacifist leanings, but he's also a character who's made out of energy, who dies and returns as a rule. He's more of a phoenix than the phoenix. All dead characters come back and they probably should, since it's a genre-trapping and a narrative device, etc, but it's Simon's MO to come back. It's part of the nature of his character to wonder just what life means and whether or not he's truly alive. it makes him dying again a bit ho hum though

    Tom, you know that’s a ridiculous statement. Neither Rogue or Wanda have ever actually died in their history, while Simon died in his very first appearance (Avengers vol. 1#9), came back twelve years later (Avengers vol. 1 #151), died again (Force Works vol. 1 #1), and came back again (Avengers vol. 3 #2).
